Container Exchange Program

At The Refillery Storehouse, we are committed to promoting sustainable practices and minimizing waste. To align with New York State health guidelines and support environmentally conscious choices, we have implemented a Container Exchange Program for our bulk food and non-food items. Read on to learn how you can participate in reducing packaging waste and contribute to a greener future.

Bulk Food Items:

To ensure safety and compliance with health regulations, we have implemented a Container Exchange Program for our bulk food items. You are encouraged to bring in your own standard Ball® jars, which we will gladly exchange for a sanitized jar of the same size to use in-store at no additional cost. This allows us to maintain a hygienic environment while reducing the need for single-use packaging. If you do not have a jar to exchange, we offer a selection of jars for purchase, or we provide complimentary bags for your convenience.

Non-Food Items:

For our non-food bulk items, including household and personal care products, we welcome you to bring in your own reusable containers. Weigh and tare your containers at our dedicated station before filling them with your chosen items. This ensures that you are only charged for the product itself, without including the weight of the container. By utilizing your own containers, you actively participate in waste reduction efforts and contribute to a more sustainable shopping experience.
